They say making the perfect cup of Chai is all about balance. You need the Leaf to give it soul. You need the Body to give it strength. And you need the Aroma to make it irresistible.
If you take one ingredient away, the cup falls flat.
At BETEAYA, we realized that building a business works the exact same way. We are three sisters with three very different professional backgrounds. Alone, we are just ingredients. Together, we are the perfect blend.
The Leaf: Bhumika (The Tea Master)
The one who knows the soil.
Every great cup starts with the leaf. Without a quality product, nothing else matters. Bhumika is the soul of our operation. While the rest of the world sees "Tea" as a commodity, she sees it as a science.
She didn't just inherit a legacy; she went back to school for it. Before a single tin of BETEAYA was sold, Bhumika was working in a tea broking firm, studying the trade to understand exactly how the industry was failing the customer. She didn't stop at the desk. She went back to the gardens of Assam, standing in the sun to learn the delicate art of hand-plucking two leaves and a bud. She worked on the factory floor under a Tea Manager, mastering the chemistry of processing, and trained her palate in the subtle art of Tea Tasting.
While she was mastering the craft, she was also listening to you—running surveys to understand why modern tea drinkers were being served dust instead of leaves. She is the reason our tea isn't just "marketing fluff." She ensures that what goes into the tin is pure, single-origin gold. She is the Product, the Sourcing, and the standard-bearer of our legacy.
The Body: Kritika (The Financial Backbone)
The one who ensures the stability.
A tea can be flavorful, but without "Body," it feels weak. The same is true for business. Passion needs structure to survive. Kritika is our spine. With a background in Finance, she brings the discipline that turns a "passion project" into a sustainable company.
For 10 years, she was the "Chief Everything Officer" of her home—mastering the art of budgeting, planning, and negotiation as a mother. Now, she channels that same precision into BETEAYA's numbers. She is the one asking the tough questions: “Is this scalable? Is this profitable? Are we building for 2 years or 20?” Kritika proves that you can be a loving mother and a shark with a spreadsheet. She gives BETEAYA its strength and longevity.
The Aroma: Nandita (The Voice)
The one who tells the story.
You can brew the best tea in the world, but if the aroma doesn't waft out of the cup, no one will come to taste it. Nandita is our "Aroma." She is the marketer who makes sure the world knows we exist.
A corporate hustler with a CV that speed-ran through PR, Digital Media, and E-Commerce, Nandita understands how to take a 100-year-old family legacy and package it for the Instagram generation. She is our "5-to-9" warrior—working her corporate job by day and building the BETEAYA brand by night. She bridges the gap between our factory in Moran and your screen in Mumbai. She turns our tea into a Brand and our journey into a Story.
